Learners should distinguish \”feeling\” from \”nuance\”.

Feeling can be defined that you learn English, directly.
For instance, a foreign friend said \”How is it going?\”
when you met him.
That was not formal greeting so you didn\’t understand it
and you wouldn\’t look the meaning in your dictionary;
however, you would know the meaning within a few days.
You found out the meaning on the situation without grammatical knowledge.
That\’s Feeling.

Nuance can be defined that you find out difference.
As you know, Japanese people sometimes confuse to distinguish
\”Excuse me\” from \”I\’m sorry.\”
They absolutely know whether those are grammatical sentence.
They can confidently translate them to Japanese words of \”Sumimasen.\”
You know how to use \”Suimasen.\”
It causes abusion of English.
English speakers use \”Excuse me\” for notice.
Passing through a crowded space, they use it.
\”I\’m sorry\” cannot be used on the situation.
Of cource, you know why they don\’t use it.
\”Excuse me\” should be translated to \”Sitsureisimasu.\”
You have to translate English words to Japanese words
for knowing the point of difference, so you need to know English grammar.
You cannnot translate them without grammatical knowledge.
